Good afternoon and Happy Friday!
Thank you everyone who was able to make it last night. I hope you got some great insight and had your questions answered regarding the proposed education budget for the 2020-2021 school year.
Here’s a brief recap of what’s going on with PTO
Funding Approvals:
GOMS
– $1,000 to 6th grade for their end of the year field day/pizza celebration
– $2,500 to 6th grade for their iFly/Rock & Jump Field Trip
OCS
– $3,700 to 5th grade for their annual Sturbridge Village field trip.
– $1,905 to 3rd grade for their annual Flanders Nature Center Field Trip.
Valentine’s Day Chocolate sales did well. QFS/OCS had orders for $977, and GOMS students purchased $356. After costs, the PTO profit was $411.
Spring Color Run – Unfortunately, due to many issues and setbacks, this event is not happening this Spring. But we are still moving forward with the planning and hoping to have the event in late October.
PTO is hosting another dance at GOMS on Friday, March 13 from 6-8pm. Anyone interested in helping to sell concessions, please let me know.
Clothing/Shred Drive will be held at OCS in late April or early May. Brudnell is working on finalizing the date.
Auction Committee REALLY needs help seeking online/e-mail donations. If you have some spare time at home to send some e-mails for them please contact Andrew Sullivan asullivanpto@gmail.com or Sandra Mangan smanganpto@gmail.com. At this point we need all hands on deck.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to let me know.
Have a great weekend!
Amanda
