Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well, surviving our new “normal” of social distancing and getting acclimated to the new e-learning situation.  Another huge thank you to everyone involved in getting this new curriculum set up for our kids.  I wanted to provide a brief update regarding PTO matters in light of the Governor’s recent executive order.

–        Babysitting/CPR class on 4/4 at OHS has been cancelled.  Those who signed up and paid will receive a refund shortly.

–        Spring Book Fair for mid to late April in all 3 schools has unfortunately been cancelled.

–        April PTO Meeting 4/30: Still currently scheduled, but that may change depending on the rapidly changing times.

–        Auction on 5/9: We are currently considering multiple options and working with Oxford Greens on a postponed date.  That’s all the information I have at the moment, but I will provide information as it becomes available.  That being said, the Committee still needs help and if you can help from home please let Andrew or Sandra know.

I urge everyone to follow the Governor’s guidelines and stay home as much as possible, work remotely if applicable, and practice social distancing.  I know it’s tempting to get together with friends, family and neighbors, but this is not the time for getting together, play dates, etc.  I do encourage everyone to stay connected remotely, perhaps Facetime or video conferencing with friends and classmates, texts to family and neighbors and of course phone calls.  We are all in this together and keeping in touch with each other is incredibly important.

Our community has always come together in times of crisis, and this is no different.  There is a community food bank set up at the Gazebo of OCS for anyone who needs items, or wishes to donate.  Thank you to the Oxford Board of Education for putting this together.  There is also bagged breakfast and lunch distribution at OHS from 8-10am daily.  If anyone needs assistance the Oxford Town Hall has also put together a list of volunteers who can help.  Please be sure to use these resources if necessary.

As more information becomes available, I will let you all know.  In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, spread positivity and most importantly, wash your hands.  I wish you all good health.

Best,

Amanda
